2021 NISSAN FRONTIER DIMENSIONS
Before diving into all the technology and strong capabilities of the 2021 Nissan Frontier, our team here at Andy Mohr Avon Nissan wanted to detail the various dimensions of this truck to help you decide which configuration you should get.
Learning about the exterior shape, interior space, and other Nissan Frontier dimensions will give you a great understanding of what it will be like driving this truck around Avon, Plainfield, and Danville, IN.
NISSAN FRONTIER CABIN CONFIGURATIONS
With the 2021 Frontier, you have two different cabins to choose between, so you can get the interior space you need on your next road trip. Let’s dive into what makes each one of these cabins unique.
KING CAB
For starters, there’s the King Cab, which comes standard on the S and SV trim levels. It can seat up to four people, so you can bring some on your hiking buddies on your next excursion.
Inside, there’s 92 cubic feet of passenger volume, which breaks down into the following measurements:
Front Headroom: 39.7 inches | Rear Headroom: 36.6 inches |
Front Legroom: 42.4 inches | Rear Legroom: 25.3 inches |
Front Hip Room: 55.8 inches | Rear Hip Room: 55.0 inches |
Front Shoulder Room: 58.3 inches | Rear Shoulder Room: 54.9 inches |
As you can see, even your friends in the rear row will have plenty of room to stretch out in with this cabin configuration.
CREW CAB
Need a little more room, especially for your back-seat passengers? Then you’ll want to check out the larger Crew Cab available on the S and SV trims and standard on the PRO-4X®. In addition to being able to seat up to five passengers, this cabin offers 107 cubic feet of passenger space, along with the following dimensions…
Front Headroom: 39.9 inches | Rear Headroom: 38.6 inches |
Front Legroom: 42.4 inches | Rear Legroom: 33.6 inches |
Front Hip Room: 55.6 inches | Rear Hip Room: 58.0 inches |
Front Shoulder Room: 58.3 inches | Rear Shoulder Room: 58.3 inches |
While the two cabins are very similar when it comes to roomy space for the driver, the Crew Cab offers much more leg and headroom overall in the back row—an amenity you may need if you camp often with the same crew.
BED SIZE AND CAPABILITIES
Along with your cabin options, there are two beds to choose from with the 2021 Nissan Frontier. The King Cab comes with the larger bed, which is 73.3 inches long—perfect for fitting drywall and plywood.
If you don’t need a larger bed for construction work, the Crew Cab is attached to a bed that runs a length of 59.5 inches. While shorter, this is still ample room for your ATV or a few mountain bikes.
Interested in the amenities of the Crew Cab but need the extra space? Good news! The SV trim is the only configuration available with the longer bed option to give you the best of both worlds.
AMPLE SPACE FOR YOUR ESSENTIALS
No matter which truck bed appeals to you, you’ll be treated to a bed width of 61.4 inches and depth of 18 inches. When either the King or Crew Cab options are properly equipped, you’ll also be able to carry a maximum of 1,460 pounds, so there’s no limit to your next adventure.¹
Want to take even more on your next getaway? The Frontier also boasts a maximum towing capacity of 6,720 pounds, allowing you to haul the following:²
- A small hard-sided RV for camping trips with your friends.
- A small recreational boat for relaxing adventures on the water.
- A few snowmobiles to tear it up in the mountains.
- A few jet skis for unforgettable fun in the sun.
- A lightly loaded utility trailer packed with home improvement supplies.
EXTERIOR DIMENSIONS OF THE 2021 FRONTIER
The final measurements you want to consider when looking for your next truck are its exterior dimensions. The 2021 Nissan Frontier is a small-sized pickup, meaning it’s more petite than light- or heavy-duty trucks. This smaller stance enables you to navigate with greater ease down winding roads or when off-roading.
No matter which cabin you select, you’ll have the following Fronter exterior dimensions…
- Length: 205.5 inches
- Width: 72.8 inches
- Height: 70.1 inches
- Wheelbase: 125.9 inches
If instead you opt for the long bed on the Crew Cab, your Frontier’s length will be extended to 219.4 inches. The wheelbase will also widen to 139.9 inches for greater stability and strength on the trails.
CRAFTED FOR ADVENTURE
Seeing these exterior dimensions, it’s no surprise that the Frontier is agile and handles trails extremely well—but this truck doesn’t stop there. Coming standard with 16-inch wheels and 9.8 inches of ground clearance, you’ll be able to sail over obstacles in your path with total ease.
Really want to take on some boulders? Upgrade to the available 18-inch wheels and your ride height will increase to 10.1 inches. When properly equipped, you’ll also be treated to the following off-road dimensions…
- Angle of approach: 31.5 degrees
- Angle of departure: 22.6 degrees
- Breakover angle: 20.6 degrees
These measurements allow your Frontier to brave small hills without scraping its underside against the ground. Combined with skid plates available on your oil pan, fuel tank, and 4x4 transfer case, you’re sure to have a protected trek.
