Nissan Frontier Maintenance Schedule
We all rely on our vehicles to get us from place to place around Avon, Plainfield, and Danville. In order to help ensure that your car continues to perform smoothly and safely gets you to where you need to go, routine maintenance is important.
Each vehicle needs to have various services done after a certain amount of time or miles have been driven. To help you stay on top of the services your Nissan Frontier needs, you can use this helpful Frontier maintenance schedule our team at Andy Mohr Avon Nissan has made to keep you aware of when and what recommended services your vehicle will need.
5,000 Miles
Every six months or 5,000 miles, the engine oil and filter will need to be changed to keep your engine smoothly and efficiently operating. When you’re having this done, you’ll also want to have the tires rotated to keep them from wearing unevenly.
10,000 Miles
Once a year or every 10,000 miles, you’ll also want to have various components of your vehicle inspected to ensure they’re properly working and in good condition. This includes the transmission fluid and all the parts of your braking system. If you have a 4WD system equipped in your Nissan Frontier, you should also have the propeller shaft and drive shaft boots inspected as well.
15,000 Miles
In addition to the oil needing to be changed since another 5,000 miles has
20,000 Miles
While having your brakes inspected again, the brake fluid should be replaced once you’ve driven another 20,000 miles or two years. At this point, you’ll also want to have a professional inspect the exhaust system as well as the steering gear and linkage, axle, and suspension parts. It is also recommended to have the EVAP vapor lines and fuel lines checked.
30,000 Miles
Along with the other services you need to have done, every 30,000 miles or 36 months, the air cleaner filter needs to be replaced. If you happen to drive in more dusty conditions, this maintenance may be required at an earlier time.
40,000 Miles
At this interval, additional maintenance that you’ll need to have performed on your Frontier is an inspection of the drive belt. After that initial inspection of the drive belt, you’ll want it again checked every 10,000 miles.
Other Maintenance Down the Road
Later down the road, your Nissan Frontier will need other parts replaced. Replacing the spark plugs should be done every 105,000 miles. Once you hit 105,000 miles, you also will need to replace the engine coolant. After that first replacement, the engine coolant will then need to be changed every 75,000 miles.
