2020 Nissan Maxima Technology
As one of the more luxurious sedans in the Nissan lineup, the 2020 Nissan Maxima is loaded with some highly appealing technology features, particularly if you've added in the Tech Package. Some technologies may boost your entertainment, while others may increase information capabilities and safety. In this review, the Andy Mohr Avon Nissan team will break down all the best tech that the Maxima has to offer Avon, Plainfield, and Danville drivers.
Nissan Maxima: Infotainment Tech
There's plenty of features right up front in the Maxima cabin that will provide you with both a bit of entertainment on those long drives, as well as information services. Here are some of the highlights.
Touchscreen Display
Front and center in the Nissan Maxima is the available 8-inch color touchscreen. You can pinch and swipe to zoom in on or alter the display pages. You can also send GPS direction from the screen to the Advanced Drive-Assist® Display in the instrument panel.
Mobile Connectivity
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both featured in the Maxima. These allow you to plug in your phone and pull up its best home screen apps on the central display. They become much easier to use on the go this way.
Premium Audio
While on the road, some of us really like to crank the jams-and that's easy to do with the Bose® Audio System, which includes 11 speakers and Bose® Centerpoint® 2 Surround Technology. All sound will have a robust, live quality.
Navigation Assistance
The available Nissan Navigation System provides detailed full-color GPS direction to drivers. The map even displays points of interest if you're exploring without a set destination in mind.
Accompanying your navigation system is the available SiriusXM® Travel Link. This provides info like weather forecasts, movie listings, or the cheapest gas prices in the area-everything you need for a day out.
Added Safety with Nissan Intelligent Mobility
In newer cars, cameras and smartly positioned sensors can sometimes act as an extra set of eyes out on the road. They'll monitor other cars and even alert you to potential collision scenarios.
Nissan Intelligent Mobility is your comprehensive driver assistance tech suite, providing the Nissan Maxima sedan with a little extra awareness.
This suite has available front and rear sonar and an optional Around View Monitor®. One has its feelers out for stationary objects you might hit while parking or pulling out of a spot, and the other gives you a bird's-eye view of your surroundings.
Several additional features are available with this suite, such as:
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- Intelligent Cruise Control
- Blind Spot Warning
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Intelligent Forward Collision Warning
With Nissan Intelligent Mobility tech on your side, you should have some added peace of mind when cruising around in your Maxima. You can read more about the Maxima safety features, too!
