The Rogue Sport comes fitted with the Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission) which provides direct and efficient transitions between gears for a smoother and uninterrupted ride. The Mazda CX-3 includes the 6-speed automatic transmission. While both vehicles can easily surpass 140 horsepower, the Rogue Sport has a slight advantage in torque when compared to the Mazda CX-3.

Interior Passenger & Cargo Space

Each of these midsize SUVs offer a spacious cabin for the five passengers that they're able to carry. The Nissan Rogue Sport offers the most space, with a roomy 42.8 inches of front legroom compared to the Mazda CX-3, which tops off at 41.7 inches of front legroom. As for headroom, the Nissan Rogue Sport features 39.6 inches in the front and 38.3 inches in the rear vs. 38.4 inches of front headroom and 37.2 inches in the rear of the Mazda CX-3.

As for cargo space, the Nissan Rogue Sport offers 22.9 ft3 behind the second row. However, when the rear seats are folded, the space opens to 61.1 ft3. The Mazda CX-3, on the other hand, only offers 12.4 ft3 of cargo space which only opens to 44.5 ft3 when the rear seats are folded.
