Nissan TITAN Maintenance Schedule

Nissan Titan Maintenance Schedule

Whether you’re using your truck for work or just to get around Avon, Plainfield, or Danville, IN, the best way to keep your vehicle in top form is to follow the regular recommended maintenance.

At Andy Mohr Avon Nissan, we want to be sure you have the tools you need to keep your truck on the road for years to come; this is why we have supplied the following convenient Nissan TITAN maintenance schedule.

Every 7,500 Miles or Six Months

Oil Change

The only maintenance items for the 6-month mark are:

  • Replace the engine oil and oil filter.
  • Rotate tires.

Frequent tire rotations help make sure that your tires are getting worn evenly. This will help them remain in better condition for longer.

Every 15,000 Miles or 12 Months

  • Inspect automatic transmission fluid.
  • Inspect brake lines and cables.
  • Inspect brake pads and rotors.
  • Replace in-cabin microfilter.
  • Inspect transfer fluid and differential gear oil.

Additionally, if your Nissan TITAN has 4-wheel drive (4WD), you will need to inspect the propeller shaft and drive shaft boots yearly. You will know the propeller shaft needs to be serviced if it is loose, has visible damage, or has grease leakage.

Every 30,000 Miles or 24 Months

Brake Fluid
  • Inspect EVAP vapor lines and fuel lines.
  • Inspect exhaust system.
  • Inspect steering gear and linkage, axle, and suspension parts.
  • Lubricate steering stopper cap (XD models only).
  • Replace air cleaner filter.
  • Replace brake fluid.

When checking and replacing your brake fluid, you want to make sure the fluid level is always right in between the maximum and minimum lines on the reservoir. It’s also helpful to make sure your truck is parked on level ground; this way, you can be sure you have an accurate reading of the fluid level.

At 45,000 Miles or 36 Months

Once you reach 36 months, you should make sure to replace the Nissan Intelligent Key® battery. You should inspect the battery power every 22,500 miles or 18 months. If the battery dies, you won’t be able to use any of the Nissan Intelligent Key® functions, like keyless entry and start.

At 60,000 Miles or 48 Months

Spark Plug

From this point onward, you should inspect your drive belt every year. Take this time to look for signs of wear, fraying, or cracking and to make sure it has proper tension. If there is an issue, get it replaced as soon as possible.

Every 105,000 Miles

The last major bit of maintenance you will need to do is to replace spark plugs every 105,000 miles.

It’s important to note that the TITAN uses iridium-tipped spark plugs, which last longer than traditional spark plugs. While these don’t need to be replaced as often, you should make sure that you replace them with the same or equivalent type of spark plug.

Maintenance for Severe Driving Conditions

The maintenance schedule outlined above is for vehicles used in standard driving conditions. If you find yourself driving in hot weather, dusty conditions, stop-and-go traffic, or anything else classified as “severe,” you will want to check some systems more frequently.

You should replace brake fluid every year or every 10,000 miles and complete the following tasks every six months or 5,000 miles:

  • Inspect brake pads and rotors.
  • Replace engine oil and oil filter.
  • Inspect propeller shaft and drive shaft boots.
  • Inspect steering gear and linkage, axle, and suspension parts.

Don’t worry if you don’t know how to locate or gauge the condition of any of the items listed; consult your driver’s manual or contact a service center for help.
