Equipped to Handle Your Toughest Jobs

When it comes to choosing your next truck, you want to make sure it is equipped with an engine powerful enough to tow your trailer or boat. The standard engine in the 2019 TITAN can surely get the job done. This 5.6L Endurance® V8 gas engine produces 390 horsepower, helping the TITAN achieve a maximum towing capacity of 9,380 pounds.1

The standard engine in the Chevy Colorado is significantly smaller, achieving only 200 horsepower. The available 3.6L V6 engine boosts the power but it still falls short with only 308 horsepower and a maximum towing capacity of 7,000 pounds. At most, you’ll be able to achieve a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds with the Colorado.

In addition to enough towing power to tow a two-horse trailer, the TITAN can handle a maximum payload of 1,620 pounds.2 Once again, the Colorado comes up short with a maximum payload capacity of 1,574 pounds, so it may not be able to handle your workload.

Explore with Confidence 2019 Nissan TITAN

If you’re planning on taking your camping trailer out for a weekend getaway, these pickups can help get you there with available navigation systems. The Colorado offers an 8-inch infotainment system featuring navigation to help provide turn-by-turn directions to your destination.

The 2019 Nissan TITAN takes it one step further, though, with Nissan Door to Door Navigation with Premium Traffic. In addition to clear directions, this system pairs with your smartphone, allowing you to send addresses from your compatible device to your truck. If you park a couple blocks away from your intended destination, this system can also send a walking route for the rest of the way right to your phone.

Safety Feature Comparison

2019 Nissan TITAN interiorThe TITAN and the Colorado have a commanding presence on the road, but that doesn’t mean they sacrifice on safety. Both pickups feature available Rear Cross Traffic Alert systems to help you back out with greater confidence. This technology senses and warns you of cars that may be creeping up behind you while you’re in reverse.

While these systems are helpful, you may find backing out of tight spaces even easier in the 2019 Nissan TITAN. An available Intelligent Around View® Monitor provides a 360-degree view of your truck when you’re in park to provide a comprehensive view of your surroundings and potential obstacles. The Chevy Colorado offers an HD Rear Vision Camera, but it can’t provide this bird’s-eye view.
